This map was the first edition of an important railroad map of Texas, with an accompanying 49 page index. Fully printed in color by county and covered in a dark green cloth measuring 17.5x11 with "Rand, McNally & Co's New Enlarged Scale Indexed Railroad And County Map Of Texas." stamped in gilt, the first edition was published in 1887 by Martin & Martin.
